Zazam Sheriff Phillips syndrome is a rare and genetically inherited congenital syndrome.
Patients experience having aniridia, ectopia lentis, abnormal upper incisors, and mental retardation.
The condition is believed to be genetically inherited, which is attributed to consanguinuity as affecting the chances of its inheritance. Although there is a hypothesis that symptoms are found in a particular gene, the gene that affects the condition is not yet known. However, a different genetic cause is believed to have caused mental retardation.
